The Code Style site has evolved by gradual refinement and accumulation of features and content. This review is part of a fully backdated site log and archive that sheds light on when, why and how particular features were implemented.
This log is sometimes updated several times per week, sometimes with a long overdue backlog of items. Many log entries refer to the Code Style Java package that delivers the servlet services and utilities used to manage this site.

Reverse chronology
31st July 2000
Added new Flash and GIF versions of the Code Style logo to the home page.
Added a large, feint grey version of the Code Style logo as a background image for the body element and Box class. Also, changed the background colour of the TopRight sidebar corner to #EEE to match and menu area to #CCC.
Added style warning page for CSS-impaired browsers.
30th July 2000
Added a <br class="ClearAll"/> tag before the main div in the standard footer include files to work around non-clearing problem in Netscape 4.
19th July 2000
Added HTML MIME types with ISO codes to root level .htaccess file and disabled directory listing.
24th June
Added CSS MIME types to root .htaccess file in /styles directory.
June 2000
1st June
Added Flash MIME types to .htaccess file in /flash directory.
