The Code Style site has evolved by gradual refinement and accumulation of features and content. This review is part of a fully backdated site log and archive that sheds light on when, why and how particular features were implemented.
This log is sometimes updated several times per week, sometimes with a long overdue backlog of items. Many log entries refer to the Code Style Java package that delivers the servlet services and utilities used to manage this site.

31th March 2002
Made some minor text changes to the standfirst paragraphs in the Anchor Points section. Completed first draft site subject index and added a link to the site home page "at a glance" boxout.
29th March 2002
Added SelectORacale explanatory links for each key stylesheet in the Code Style CSS article. Started compiling key site search terms into a site wide subject index page and configuring a PostgreSQL database development environment offline using Cygwin.
20th March 2002
Added a #Content TD UL selector to override the wide margin-right value inherited by ul elements, which was causing exceptionally wide page rendering in Internet Explorer 5.5 on the Anchor Points: Font foundries & sources page.
18th March 2002
Added a shortcut redirection for the new Unix family font survey results page to the site .htaccess page for email notification and added highlight links to the site home page, and CSS style guide section home. Also added a Unix family font survey results link to the Code Style font sampler subsection link navigation include file.
Simplified the guidance for base font comparison on the Windows font sampler and survey, Mac font sampler and survey and Unix family font sampler and survey pages and the minimal data requirements for survey notification.
16th March 2002
Removed the Code Style font sampler menu from the Anchor Points: CSS to reduce navigational clutter near the foot of the page. Added a subsection Anchor Points menu to the bottom of the Code Style font sampler index.
Updated the Windows font survey results, Mac font survey results and published the first Unix family font survey results. Updated the Font family contents page with the new survey results page and changed the platform icons to transparent background versions to work with the table of contents style background.
Added the AnchorPoints servlet to the servlets in action section of the Java servlets section index, and added the Unix family font survey results to the Java servlets contents page.
13th March 2002
Drawing to the end of various private and offline developments from mid February through early March that have held back the usual frequent updates to Code Style. Brought site log up to date and archived off notes for January 2002 and February 2002.
2nd March 2002
Acquired the codestyle.net domain and assigned DNS servers.
