The most common Mac fonts
The most common font for Mac systems is the monospace font Monaco at 98% frequency. This is followed by the typewriter style Courier, classic sans serif font Helvetica and Microsoft sans serif font Arial at 97% frequency. Matthew Carter's sans serif Verdana completes the 5 most common Mac fonts.
Font survey statistics
These figures are the cumulative total of about 5 Mac survey submissions per fortnight since June 2005, 502 total. The Mac font survey applet was introduced on 12 May 2007 and is currently recording the frequency of 117 of the most common Mac fonts.
